Method of Evolution of Pokémon Sword and Shield Applin
The process of using the Sweet Apple and Tart Apple to evolve into Applin into Flapple or Appletun
There is a new debutant pokemon in Pokémon Sword and Shield. It is called Applin. This Gen 8 Pokémon can transform itself into Flapple or Appletun.
The sweeter one turns into Applin into Appletun, while the Tart Apple changes into Flapple.
There is only one Sweet Apple in the game so Appletun is really important to the The Pokémon Shield. Tart Apple is only available in Pokémon Sword. There are other Gen 8 Pokémons which also include Sinistea, Sirfetch’d, Toxel, Milcery and Yamask.
Location of Applin in Pokémon Sword and Shield
On route 5 Applin can be located in the Wild Area- Dusty Bowl, Giant’s Mirror and Stony Wilderness. While you least expect it, you will find Applin. Like when you are walking through the grass. Keep your hopes pinned to your dreams and eyes wide open to grab the opportunities.
Next big question is, how should we evolve the Applin?
For that, first of all, you need to travel to Hammerlocke. Own the Fire Badge and defeat the third Gym Leader.
In this place, you have to go towards the left. Get past the shopping centre and the other shops and keeping walking on the road towards the left. 
You will find a man wearing a red jacket just across the last drawbridge. Talk to him. You should give your Applin to him. Do not stress about it. It is meant to come back.
The man will not only give you back the Applin but also a present. You will get a Tart Apple in Pokémon Sword, and he will present you with a Sweet Apple in Pokémon Shield.
What you get depends totally on which version you are playing. You can locate this in the other section in your bag. It does not matter which apple you receive. Getting it is the main task.
Whichever apple you have got can be used on the Applin. We need to use it on Applin for its evolution. Just remember, a Tart Apple will evolve into Flapple, whereas the Sweet Apple will evolve into Appletun.
Achieving Another Apple
One more apple can be achieved by unlocking your capability to ride the bike on water. Come back to the first section and visit the Axew’s Eye. You will see an island in the centre. Sweet and Tart Apple is found when you make your move towards the journey to this island. Again, the type of the apple depends on which version of the game you are playing.
The difference between Flapple and Appletun in Pokémon Sword and Shield
Flapple and Appletun have a very different appearance yet both are grass and dragon-type Pokémon. Flapple is more aggressive. It will evolve itself to learn Dragon Breath and Dragon Pulse. Grav Apple is a very important move. It has the potential to learn it as well. It will lessen the defense stamina of the opponent.
If you have trained your Flapple in the right direction, it is a deadly fighter.
Appletun is more of a defensive Pokémon. It learns more grass type attacks. Attacks also lower the stats of the rivals. It can also recover. And this cover-up is going to make you stay here. It’s you decide ultimately if you want the dragon- type.
Significance of Flapple and Appletun in Pokémon Sword and Shield
Both the Pokémon are very important because of their dual nature. Before it was just used for Mega Sceptile. But now, if you have already used Grooky has your starter Pokémon then you can’t add it to your team.

The best tip would be to make sure that your Applin evolves early so that it can learn all the other moves.
It can learn two moves from level 1.
