Who is TACO and What Gear TACO Uses?
Epitácio de Melo, popularly known by his Counter-Strike: Global Offensive username ‘TACO’, is a Brazilian streamer and a professional esports player. TACO derived his user name from his first name and it was also his nickname as a kid given by his relatives. TACO started playing professional in the year 2011, i.e. at the age of 16. He started his career with Counter-Strike 1.6 (CS: 1.6) and later shifted to Counter-Strike: Global Offensive (CS: GO) in the year 2014 and has been playing the game professionally ever since.
TACO started his career with Dexterity Team, which is a Brazilian team for CS: GO. After the team disbanded in 2015, he was later scouted by various teams and organisations. He has worked with teams like Dexterity Team, Não Tem Como, Games Academy, Luminosity Gaming, SK Gaming and Team Liquid. He is currently laying for MIBR (Made in Brazil), which is a Brazilian CS: GO team. MIBR is the same team that FalleN is also playing for.
Sk Gaming, Team Liquid and MIBR are one of the strongest global teams present to date and TACO has been a part of these teams over the years. TACO signed with MIBR in 2018 and has been playing for the team ever since. He has won around US$ 1 million as winnings reward while playing in global major and minor league tournaments. TACO is also the founding board member for the “Counter-Strike Professional Players’ Asociation” also known as CSPPA.
