Brett Hoffman, popularly known by his Fortnite username ‘Dakotaz’, is a French-born American streamer and a professional esports player. Dakotaz started playing professionally in the year 2013 and created his YouTube and Twitch channel at the same time. Dakotaz is known for uploading videos showcasing a variety of gameplay for the game Survivor Stories, which was known as The War Z. He was known for broadcasting his video in a humorous manner and for helping others master the game with tips and tricks.
After playing Survivor Stories, he moved on to H1Z1 game then to PUBG. PUBG gave him an ultimate break and started getting slightly popular amongst the gamers, but was still unknown to millions. In 2017, Dakotaz shifted to Fortnite after the release of the game and started broadcasting his gameplays. This game helped him gain millions of views to date. Dakotaz has 3.1 million subscribers for his YouTube channel and has 272 million views for his videos. He also has more than 5 million views for his Twitch channel but only the viewers who have the time machine software can view the broadcasted videos.
Dakotaz is known for broadcasting his games every day on his Twitch channel and uploads videos every alternate day on his YouTube channel. He also has more than 5 million followers on his Instagram account, making him one of the famous social icons amongst the professional esports player and the gaming audience. Dakotaz joined Team SoloMid, a North American esports team, in the year 2018 and played for the team for a year i.e. till early 2019. He is now currently playing as an individual without joining any team or organisation.
